It all started in 6th grade—with a microwave, a pack of weave hair, and a dream. 

Back in the late '90s, I was that girl in Greenville, MS, slaying microwave ponytails and doing kitchen hair like my life depended on it. I wasn’t just pressing and curling—I was studying the science of every scalp and strand that sat in front of me. By the time I made my way to Jackson State University, I was known as the dorm hair stylist and the go-to for campus queens who needed their crown right for pageants, homecoming, and everything in between.

My gift grew with me. And in time, that hustle and heart led me to Memphis, TN—where I opened my very first salon and birthed something bigger than I ever imagined: Expand Your Hairizons (EYH). EYH Beauty is more than a salon. It’s a safe haven, a healing space, and a service hub where Black women and girls—especially those going through hard times—can receive real care, love, and hair restoration that doesn’t come with a luxury price tag.

We offer affordable and often free services, mentorship, and beauty education for folks navigating trauma, poverty, incarceration, foster care, or just everyday life.From that same mission came EYH Hair Care Solutions—a collection of natural, handmade hair remedies crafted from my own struggles, my clients’ needs, and a little kitchen beautician magic. No lab coats, no gatekeeping—just honest, effective solutions for scalp irritation, thinning hair, breakage, and all the real-life challenges Black women face when it comes to our crowns.

Because conversation is just as powerful as conditioner, I created EYH Revelations—our official hair and beauty blog. This is where we get real about what’s happening in the industry, spotlight issues that affect our community, and explore solutions that go deeper than surface-level. From trending topics to taboo truths, we talk about it all—because our hair deserves informed care and our voices deserve to be heard.At EYH, we believe hair is more than style—it’s identity, strength, and soul care.
